I expected it to look worse, actually... If it had a 305 in there, it probably wouldn't have been damaged at all, since that engine is so perfect in every way that it extends its protective qualities to the vehicle around it. ;)

Well, that car would be totalled for the damge done to it. And remember that a 60mph crash has to absorb 4x the energy of a 30mph crash. At 60mph there would be alot more damage. Then again, most impacts aren't against concrete barriers that have zero give. In a head on crash with another car, both car's crumple zones would absorb some of the energy.
